Essay

This work is the first complex study of specific structure, morphological, biological and ecological peculiarities of minute brown scavenger beetles in the East of Ukraine. The specific composition of the family Latridiidae has been examined. 51 species and 10 genera are listed from the East of Ukraine. The wing polymorphism in the species of Latridiidae is discovered. All the ontogenetic stages of three species are described for the first time. Seasonal dynamics of species abundance is studied. The ecological groups of species are distinguished.
