Svitlana O. The documental heritage of F. P. Matushevskiy: history and source study aspect.

The whole documental heritage of F. Matushevskiy a famous Ukrainian public and political figure, publicist, editor and diplomat is studied for the fist time in the dissertation. Great heuristic work, attribution and classification of F. Matushevskiy's heritage as source complex are carried out. Main stage of F. Matushevskiy's life and activity on the basis of numerous and various sources is reconstructed. Source significance of his scientific literary and sociopolitical works for study of the history of Ukrainian national movement, specials of public, political, cultural life and literary process of Ukraine beginning twenty century are determined. F. Matushevskiy's contribution in public, political, cultural and national life of Ukraine of these period is discovered. Corespondence of F. Matushevskiy is studied as independent complex of sources for research of public, political, cultural life of Ukraine in 1890-1910 years and biography of author of letters. Value of F. Matushevskiy's official documents and diary for research of formation, work conditions and main trends of activity of Extraordinary diplomatic mission of UNR in Greece during 1919 and his political activity are determined. The number and places of keeping of the founded letters are reflected in the supplements, the biographical information about the addresses and correspondents of F. Matushevskiy are given, up the whole bibliography of his works is made (454).
