The thesis is dedicated to the analysis of the theoretical basis, mechanism of the legal regulation of administrative and legal status of the customs service official and also some elements of its implementation. The thesis investigates the etiology of the term "legal status", and it is also summarized its understanding of the science and practice. It is defined the structure and specifics of administrative and legal status of the customs service official. It is proposed the definitions of "administrative and legal status of the customs service official", "customs authority", "the civil service in customs bodies of Ukraine", "economic security". It is also extracted the feature of customs service worker.
