Kozak N. Criminalistic Practices, Techniques and Tools of Cybercrimes Detection, Exposure and Investigation

This thesis is dedicated to comprehensive research in criminalistic practices, techniques and tools of cybercrimes detection, exposure and investigation. The composites of criminalistic characteristics of computer-related crimes are defined. Author's definitions of "cybercrimes", "ways of cybercrimes commission", "computer information" are provided, legislative changes to be made are proposed. The notions of "criminalistic practices", "criminalistic techniques" and "criminalistic tools" are analyzed and determined. The tactical and criminalistic practices and techniques as well as technical and criminalistic tools and practices of cybercrimes detection, exposure and investigation are reported. International best practices in the area of cybercrimes detection, exposure and investigation are researched. The recommendations with respect to improvement of such crimes detection, exposure and investigation are defined.
