Essay

In the dissertations experimentally confirmed by different biological effectiveness of local (X-ray irradiation of the brain) in the pituitary-gonade system depending on the dose and mode of exposure. It was found patterns of radiogenic changes in the content of lipid peroxidation products (diene conjugates, malone dialdehyde) and antioxidant enzyme systems (catalase and superoxide dismutase activities) and also in terms of morphofunctional state of pituitary-gonade regulation of reproductive function (structural features at hypophys and ovaries, fabrics ultrastructural changes in hormone productive cells of adenohypophys and ovary and the sex hormones concentrations in the blood serum of female rats). Found that radiation therapy for non-pituitare brain tumors leads to prolonged functional changes in pituitary-gonade system of reproductive age women, as evidenced by changes in concentration content FSH, LH, progesterone and estradiol in the blood serum. Term recovery of hormonal regulation of reproductive function is directly depends on the value of total dose irradiation of the brain.
