Essay

The thesis is devoted to the increase of wear resistance of fine-size drawing tool. The application of such tool has economic gains for the producer as leads to the decrease of expenses for tool being bought. Wear resistance of fine-size drawing tool was raised by updating the surface of various steel marks by ion-plasma processing. To produce protective coatings (Е=25 keV, рg=3,32·10-2 Pа, S=1962,5 cm2) the ion-plasma installation using software that allows to adjust and inspect technical parameters of processing and physical properties has been created. Due to the correctly chosen regimes, a doze of implanted ions, materials of a target and a base and as a result of carrying on an experimental research high quality protective coatings have been produced, the surface roughness being 2 times less, hardness - 2,5 times greater, corrosion stability - 4 times greater and wear resistance - 12 times greater. When using the results of work in practice wear resistance of working surfaces of fine-size tool has been increased 1,5 ? 12 times. The use of ion-plasma processing enabled to get drawing tools with modified protective coatings and to increase the service life of tool being strengthened up to 50 %.
