Objects of research - chestnut leafminer moth of clothes horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocаstanum L.). Subject of research: improvement of system of integrated protection of winter wheat against sucking insect pest taking into account the level of varieties' resistance. Methods: observations, laboratory and field tests, statistical method. Potential number of this insect pest on the Aesculus hippocаstanum L. for every region and zone in Ukraine is calculated and determined a degree of risk. The method of a count of butterflies population density (in a scope 10х10 sm) on trunks and egg layings and also mines on leaves is improved (in a scope 4х2,5 sm). The uniled 9-score scales for evaluating degree of the pest colonization of trees. It is determined the duration for protective action (5-6 years) of toxication of the crowns of the trees of chestnut by the way of the preparation injection into the trunks trees. Also there were selected a number of insecticides on a basis of the preparations imidachloprid, thiametoxam, abamectin, dimethoate with different mechanisms of action to restrict a rate of forming resistance of this pest population.Field of application – agriculture, plant protection.
