This thesis focuses on the study of linguistic and semiotic features of hyperreality in Ursula Le Guin’s "Earthsea" cycle. The paper determines semiotic nature of hyperreality, elaborates methods of hyperreality analysis in English-language fantasy texts, clarifies the frame structure of hyperreality in the texts under study, identifies the core-peripheral structure of the concept MAGIC as a reality simulacrum, classifies lexeme-simulacra of reality (names and apellatives) and elucidates the role of the core component in phraseological unit-simulacra of reality in Ursula Le Guin’s "Earthsea" cycle.
