Kavurka V. The seedworms (Lepidoptera, Tortricidae, Grapholitini) of Polissya and Wood-and-Steppe of the Left-bank Ukraine (fauna, systematics, biological features)

The dissertation is the first complex study of taxonomic composition, distribution, morphological and biological features of the grapholitine moths (seedworms) of Polissya and Wood-and-Steppe of the Left-bank Ukraine. Fifty-nine species of 6 genera of the seedworms of the regional fauna are listed. Nineteen species are recorded for the first time in the fauna of the studied region, and 7 species are recorded for the first time in the fauna of Ukraine. Morphological characters of adults and pre-imaginal stages are discussed and also keys to the adult grapholitine species occurring in Ukraine are compiled for the first time. Phenological features and trophic connections are determined. Allocation of the grapholitines in nature landscapes and zones is analysed.
