Lubchuk I. Structural policy as an instrument of overcoming of technological lagging of economy of Ukraine

Object of research - technological structure of the economy and consistent patterns of its dynamic, institutional support of effective structural policy in relation to progressive technological change. Research purpose - to develop methodological and analytical tools of state structural policy, focused on overcoming of technological gap of the Ukrainian economy and achieving of high level in economic development. Methods and apparatus - abstractive and logical, experimental, statistical, integrated and systematic approaches. Theoretical and practical results - on the basis of theoretical research of economic relationship that lead to the technological gap phenomenon, methods of how to measure technological gap as well as principles and actions of economic structural policy, focused on elimination of technological gap, are proposed. Novelty - theoretical and practical rationale for the necessity of using technological gap indicators for development and implementation of effective economic governance mechanisms is carried out, the method of calculation of the Rating Technological Gap Index (RTGI) is worked out. Degree of implementation - it is implemented. Sphere (industry) of usage - government authorities and higher educational institutions.
