Essay

A comprehensive research of processes defining the lifetime of electron bunch in accelerating - storage complexes was performed in the dissertation. Calculation of parameters of synchrotron emission and pho-tostimulated gas release caused by synchrotron emission was performed, which made it possible to select required vacuum pumps, their pumping speeds taking into account real apertures of electron conductor and define required coefficients of specific gas release of vacuum surfaces. It was experimentally shown that it is possible to achieve required coefficients of specific gas release (2 х 10-12 Tor х l х s-1 х cm-2) and limiting pressure ( 4 х 10-10 Tor) as a result of application of the developed technology of preparation of vacuum surfaces. Results obtained allowed to design and start the production of the vacuum system of NESTOR storage ring, which will support the functioning of quasi-monochromatic ? - emission source based on the reverse Compton scattering
