Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to the problem of increasing of efficiency of diagnostics and surgical treatment of patients with small angles concomitant esotropia. Analysed results of ophthalmology examination and surgical treatment of 201 patients with a concomitant esotropia with small angles of deviation. For the increasing of precision of measurement of small angles strabismus were developed modified Fresnel's prisms and worked out on their basis "Squint compensators set KK-42". Offered methods of prism strabometry allows to measure angles of deviation up to 60 PD with exactness ±1,0 PD. Comparative analysis of strabometry data by different methods were conducted. There was set the role of motor disfunctions in etiology of small angles concomitant esotropia and dependence of binocular functions from the extent of deviation. The methodology of planning and dosage of antistrabic operations for the correction of small angels concomitant esotropia was developed. Approximation formulas for mathematical calculation of extent of recession/resection are offered for the different types of concomitant esotropia.
