The object - a process automated metallographic analysis; the purpose - improving the efficiency of the metallographic analysis of with providing the permissible error of measurement; the methods -- the neural networks, the methods of mathematical modeling, the theory of precedent; novelty - the method of determining the characteristics of alloys on the basis of their images was developed at first; the method for estimating the properties of the alloys was improved; the method for determining grade alloys has been further developed; results - the developed methods and information technology have reduced the time of the metallographic analysis from 40 to 1 minute; the branch - information technology.
