Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the category of specification, its structural, semantic and syntactic features. The specification is defined as a logical and syntax category, which carries out communicative directions and objectives; the specification consists of a specified component and a specifying one, which can be connected by the words namely, precisely and so on. The main purpose of the specification is to avoid polysemy, to contextually eliminate alternatives. The specification can be monoreferential andpolyreferential, which reflects the levels of its compositional complexity. On the semantic and syntactic level the specification can perform the role of a predicate, an attribute, an actant and a circonstant in their different correlation.
