Essay

Uremic syndrome and early stages renal osteoporosis at chronic renal disease patients is accompanied with neurosensory bad hearing with hearing loss for 15-20 dB at high frequencies. Osteoporosis progression induces conductive type of bad hearing with hearing loss at low frequencies. Further development of mixed bad hearing is manifested with hearing loss for 20-30 dB. Radiology examination of majority (83%) patients reveals osteoporotic and osteosclerotic changes in pyramid of temporal bones. Evident improvement of hearing function with lowering of hearing limits for 15-20 dB or normal values is observed after complex treatment of hyperparathyreosis.
