Dontsova D. Application of mouthwashes in the prevention and treatment of chronic catarrhal gingivitis and their impact on the homeostasis of the oral cavity

The thesis deals with optimizing prevention and treatment efficacy of chronic catarrhal gingivitis (CCG) among young patients by selective basis mouthwashes. A laborate study of antimicrobial rinses that contain different antiseptic ingredients for clinical and test strains of microorganisms. Comparative characteristics of effectiveness of mouthwashes rinses, which contain different antiseptic substances (chlorhexidine, triclosan, cetylpiridinchloridium) shows off that they can be used as prevention and for complex treatment CCG among adults. We have established that the purpose rinses as a preventive and therapeutic means and the duration of their use should be made taking into account the activity of the active ingredient and its concentration. Clinical study and evaluation of treatment and preventive efficiency of new oral rinses "Prophilactic" and "Antiseptic" Production Company "Aromat" (Kharkov) on the basis of which found that the mouthwash "Prophilactic" is recommended for the prevention of CCG, and "Antiseptic" - for treatment of CCG.
