Essay

Object - patients with Helicobacter pylori (HP)-associated gastroduodenal diseases and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Aim - to improve efficiency of treatment of HP-associated gastroduodenal diseases and COPD with the use of magnetic therapy (МТ), basing on the results of character and dynamics of general nonspecific adaptational reactions (GNAR), lipid metabolism profiles, vegetative nervous system tone, and anxiety levels in patients with hypo-, normo- and hypercholesterolemia. Methods - clinical, laboratory, instrumental, statistical. Novelty - the features of influence of the different modes of low-frequency magnetotherapy on GNAR forming were first descrebed. The analysis of blood lipid profiles changes after a course of МТ was first conducted and proved higher efficacy of MT in patients with baseline hypocholesterolemia. The associations between parameters of lipid metabolism and GNAR formation, vegetative and emotional states in patients with gastroduodenal diseases was ascertained. Results - determination of GNAR types, parameters of lipid metabolism, and their dynamics during treatment with application of МТ, depending on the vegetative nervous system and emotional states, allows to optimize and individualize administration of МТ in patients with HP-associated gastroduodenal diseases and COPD; the results were inculcated into the practice of medical institutions, into scientific, educational and methodical process. Branch - medicine.
