Essay

Biblical prophecy as a genre of fideistic discourse. Goal is to research the sсecificity of speech acts presented in prophesy. Methods used are those of contextual and descriptive analysis, discourse analysis, structural analysis. Typology of biblical discourse is offered. The results can be used in teaching theology, genres of ancient literature, stylistics and history of the English language.
