Object - heteropolytungstates of the rare earth elements of Peacock-Weakly's structural type. Purpose - to study the influence of the lanthanide heteroatom nature on the state, stability and thermodynamic characteristics of heteropolytungatates, which contain lacunary derivatives of hexatungsto-anions. Methods: pH-potentiometric titration, method for ionic equilibrium modelling, the Pitzer's method for the thermodynamic constants calculation, methods of the chemical analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, XRD, X-ray diffraction. The thermodynamic formation constants and Gibbs energy formation of the penta- and decatungstolanthanidates have been calculated. The existence of periodicity in the thermodynamic properties changes was determined depending on the nature of a lanthanide heteroatom. Ranges of ionic dominance were defined, methods of synthesis were developed. Applications - catalysis, fluorescent compositions, nanotechnology, medicine.
