Essay

The work is aimed at the investigation of the regularities of transformation of magnetic state of heterophase and nanostructured oxide films based on iron and manganese under the influence of temperature changes and mechanical stresses. The main results have been obtained using the methods of electron spin resonance and X-ray diffraction, and based on the results of model calculations, as well as on measurements of magnetization, electrical resistance and magnetoresistance. The regularities of the changes in resonant conditions and magnetic parameters have been established for the systems with a broad region of coexistence of paramagnetic and ferromagnetic phases. It has been revealed that strained films of calcium-substituted manganites are characterized by the coexistence of magnetic phases with different magnitude and direction of magnetization, and each of the coexisting phases has been specified in the work. It has been shown that an effective way to control the value and direction of uniaxial anisotropy in magnetite films is the formation nanosteps with different orientation of nanostep edges with respect to crystallographic axes of a film.
