Typilo I. Synthesis and crystal structure of octacyanotungstate(IV) and octacyanomolybdate(IV) with s- and f-elements.

The technigues of synthesis of complexes were described. It is established that depending on the ratio of reactants acidic, medium and heterocationic complexes are formed. Based pn UR-spectroscopic studies the possibility of the existence in complexes terminal and bridging cyano groups have been demonstrated. Significant influence of the nature of the outer cation on the structure of octacyanometalate anion have been established. The crystal structures of complexes of the cerium and yttrium subgroup are differend, depending on the size of Ln atoms, their electronic configuration, thenature of complexing agent. The possibility of using some octacyanotungstate(IV) rare-earth elements as activators in emulsifying low temperature redoxpolymerization of styrene.
