Scientific novelty is: firstly in modern conditions at the Forest-Steppe Zone of Ukraine is specified wireworm bugs species composition and the ratio between instars of their larvae on corn sowings. Stem corn moth biological features, seasonal dynamics and harmfulness are learned. The estimation of the resistance of 23 modern corn hybrids against stem corn moth is conducted. Influence of agrotechnical measures on corn injury by the main pests is investigated. Species composition of the wireworm entomophages and their role in the regulation of wireworm amount are specified. Possibility of the trichogramma usage against stem corn moth is grounded.
