The thesis is devoted to the comprehensive and thorough research of the legal fundamentals soil monitoring. The subject of this paper is an in-depth examination of the legal regulation of the soil monitoring. The historical-legal analysis of development of the legislation in sphere soil monitoring are separately considered in the study. In this dissertation we will consider legal regulations that control social relations in the field of soil monitoring as subinstitute of the institute of the ecological monitoring. The historic and juridical analysis of the development of the legal system concerning the conduct of the monitoring of soils is carried out in the dissertation. The legal guarantee of soil monitoring as a part of the ecological monitoring are examined in our work. The complex research of the land and ecological laws concerning the development of legal relationships which appear when conducting of soil monitoring is done in the dissertation.
