Karpusenko N. German Scientific Linguistic Text and Discourse: Stylistic and Pragmatic Aspects

The object of this research is German scientific linguistic text and discourse. The subject is linguistic stylistic and pragmatic characteristics of German scientific linguistic text and discourse. The goal of the research is to determine linguistic stylistic and pragmatic characteristics of German scientific linguistic text and discourse. Scientific novelty is proved by the first ever analysis of functioning of language units and linguistic stylistic means of expressiveness in scientific linguistic text; pragmatic functions and speech strategies of scientific linguistic discourse have been determined; a glossary has been compiled containing linguistic scientific metaphoric terms and terms with transparent inner form. The work uses linguistic stylistic analysis methods as well as systemic-functional, functional-semantic, interpretative and pragmatic semantic analysis. The work makes a contribution into linguo-stylistics, pragmatic linguistics and lexicology. The work has practical value as its results can be applied for theoretical courses in German stylistics, lexicology, text theory and communication theory.
