Boshtan A. Functional-semantic Field of Attributes in Modern German (based on belles-lettres, publicistic and scientific styles)

The structural and semantic peculiarities of the attributes have been explicated, the structural and semantico-syntactic classifications have been presented. A detailed complex analysis of separate modern German attributes as well as their correlation with nuclear nouns in three functional styles has been carried out by means of statistical methods. The syntagmatic and paradigmatic links of each kind of attributes and nouns the functional-semantic field of German attributes has been built and described on the basis of the data obtained. The functions of the attributes have been investigated in a comparative aspect on the basis of belles-lettres, publicistic and scientific texts which enabled the drawing of general conclusions about German attributes as statistical parameters of a certain style.
