Essay

The aim: development of theoretical, methodological and methodical principles of determination of modern transformational processes in the field of employment in cities, substantiation of social and economic regulators and municipal management strategy of population employment in big cities. The object of the research: population employment in big cities of Ukraine. The subject of the research: the totality of theoretical, methodical and practical approaches to determination of modern transformational processes in the field of employment in cities and their social and economic regulators. The methods of the research: the method of theoretical and logical generalization; system analysis; typology; taxonomy and comparison method; historic and economic analysis; qualification and analytic method; system and structure analysis; economic and statistical method; questioning of experts and graphic methods. The correlation of the main processes in the city dynamics is substantiated for the first time, namely the correlation of the level of social and economic development, the level of employment (the number of job positions) and the number of population which characterize the cyclic development of the city. The following issues are improved: the scientific analysis of modern transformational processes in the field of employment in big cities; the algorithm in cities; the methodic approach to the development of the life cycle of the city and accumulative rating of big cities; the methodical principles of evaluation of the direct foreign investments influence on the sphere of employment in cities; the migration mechanism of the employment reproduction in cities. The following issues are developed: the theoretical approaches to determination of the categories: "population employment", "big city attractiveness in the field of employment". The following issues are introduced: the algorithm of strategic management of employment in cities using social and economic regulators; conceptual fundamentals for development of municipal (city) employment systems in the context of postindustrial economy; investment mechanism of forming higher technological job positions; conceptual fundamentally of development of the city employment system under the conditions of economic transformations. The sphere of use: regional, city governments and their structural subdivisions enterprises and higher educational establishments.
