The work is dedicated to the sphere of communications as an object of state control. The author studies the nature, peculiarities and tasks of state control in the sphere of communications, characterizes legal rules and types in this sphere, discloses the principles of state control in the sphere of communications, specifies the system of state control, its components: general and specialized state control of the subject's activity in the sphere of communications, defines the role of the internal affairs bodies and other law enforcement bodies in conducting state control in the sphere of the research, states his opinion concerning renewal and variety of forms and methods of state control in the sphere of communications.
