Essay

The Dissertation is devoted to the complex historical and philosophical study of psychoanalytical issues in Ukraine in the late XIX - early XX centuries. While making analysis we found the presence of psychoanalytical ideas in the native thinkers' writings in the pre-Freud period (I.Franko,O. Potebnya). The comparative analysis revealed the presence of autonomous tangential views of S. Freud, I. Franko and O. Potebnya and neo-Freud representatives (Jung, Jacques Lacan). The study of the problem is based on the holistic and systematic review of all publications of scientific centers in Ukraine arranged not according to the scientific schools and regions but to the issues of scientific research, making it possible to establish the existence of the range of problems that required their solving by applying psychoanalytical methodology. We have proposed our own classification of the psychoanalytical research directions in the Ukraine in the early twentieth century. Based on little known archival materials, a comprehensive systematic review of papers was accomplished, which makes it possible to return the lost names of Ukrainian researchers and rank highly their contribution to the Ukrainian philosophical thought.
