Essay

The single approach to determination of stress-strained state of wedge-shaped elastic bodies with rectilinear cracks on the axis of symmetry was developed. Using the Wiener - Hopf method the analytical solutions of the problems of elasticity theory for a wedge with cracks in conditions of plane deformation, the problems concerning crack edges contact and the problems concerning wedging of an elastic wedge with a hard wedge or a hard plate were found. Exact solutions for the problems concerning the equilibrium of the elastic wedge with a finite crack at its vertex and semi-infinite crack were obtained, and the problems with finite internal crack were reduced to the infinite systems of algebraic equations.
