Maltsev S. Left ventricular remodelling in patients with coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus

The object of the research of left ventricular remodelling in patients with chronic coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus; the goal is to increase the improve efficacy of prognostic decision making and prevention of left ventricular remodelling in patients with chronic coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus; methods - clinical, biochemical, instrumental, statistical; novelty - in this category of patients predictive criteria of the development of left ventricle structure and function abnormalities were established; it was found that in patients with chronic coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes cardioprotective therapy, which included losartan and valsartan or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, reduced the risk of left ventricular remodeling and factors that determine the effectiveness of this treatment were stated; the observed data were introduced into practice of the Central municipal clinical hospitals № 1 (Donetsk), Institute of urgent and restorative surgery named by V.K. Gusak (Donetsk), Selidov central municipal hospital and also in the educational process of Donetsk National Medical Universities.
