Essay

The aim of this thesis was to develop new methods for the preparation of 1-arylpyrazole derivatives. The scope of the Japp-Klingemann reaction leading to 1-arylpyrazoles was extended. An efficient method of synthesis of ethyl 1-aryl-4-formyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylates was developed. Ethyl 4-acetyl-1-aryl-5-methyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylates and ethyl 1,5-diaryl-4-cyano-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylates were also prepared.
