The thesis presents comprehensive theoretical and practical research of the procedural parsimony principle in the Ukrainian criminal procedure, analyzing the legal nature of procedural parsimony, describing its contents, genesis, and development in the role of a principle of criminal court proceedings. The paper examines the specific features of regulatory realization of the procedural parsimony principle and analyzes the progress of its implementation at various stages of the criminal procedure, with special attention to the study of regulations on temporal duration of criminal court proceedings, which, along with other factors, ensure rational and parsimonious use of procedural resources. Based on the research presented in the thesis, substantiated conclusions and proposals are made regarding the improvement of legal regulation of the procedural parsimony principle in the criminal procedure legislation.
