Galytskyj I. Tolerance in the Legal Life of a Modern Society

The idea of tolerance and the main criteria for determining tolerance levels are investigated. Tolerance typologies are outlined, and the historical stages of development tolerance are ascertained. Tolerance, with its postulates and paradoxes, is delineated and presented as a fundamental foundation in cultural dialogues. The thesis defines basic tolerance factors, as a necessary element in a legal culture. National and foreign legal experience that concerns ensuring tolerance is analyzed. The main points of a legal document "Conception of forming tolerance in the Ukrainian society" as the foundation of further national law development are suggested.
