The dissertation research is devoted to the problem of protection of human rights from the standpoint of legalistic and natural law types of legal understanding. It is emphasized that legal reform should take place on the basis of the humanistic natural law tradition, as the outdated state-centric system of legal protection has proved ineffective. Proposed are the ways to improve the system of human rights protection in modern Ukraine.
