Essay

Object of research - blade rows of steam and gas turbines and gas dynamics processes in them. Objective - aerodynamic improvement of turbomachinery blade rows on the basis of application of modern methods for 3D viscous flow calculation and optimization. Research techniques - methods of computational fluid dynamics, numerical simulation, parametrical optimization, object-oriented programming. Theoretical and practical results - the problem of aerodynamic optimization of the spatial form of multistage turbines blade rows is solved; the software package is developed for carrying out optimization researches. Novelty - statement and solution of the problem of spatial shaping blade rows of multistage turbomachines with use of models of three-dimensional viscous flow, hybrid methods of optimization and different levels of meshes. Degree of implementation - the developed methods and the software package have been used in actual design turbine blades, that is confirmed by the certificate of use. Field of usage - turbine construction.
