Afanasieva O. Crisis management of banking activity in Ukraine

The dissertation research is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodological bases of the system's formation of the banking activity's crisis management that provides task and instrument coordination of bank crisis management and crisis regulation on the level of the Government and the National Bank of Ukraine. The key components for the theoretical paradigm of crisis management are identified in the thesis; the features of the global financial crisis influence on the domestic banking system are distinguished; the essence and classification of banking crises are investigated, the factors of their origin are systematized; preventive, reactive and stabilizing crisis management are separated; indicator of crisis management instruments' selection of banking activity is worked out; an approach to the managing non-performing assets of banks, based on a bad- and bridge- banks creation is proposed; two-leveled system of the quality indicators of crisis occurrence probability is developed; the prognostic indicator of the banking crises, based on a fuzzy sets theory applying and discriminant analysis, is formed.
