Essay

The object: works by V. Pidmohylnyj and A. Camus analyzed within a functional perspective of existentialism. The purpose: to define the main linguistic peculiarities of the works under study by means of their typological comparison within aesthetic processes of the Ukrainian and French literature in the first half of the 20th century. Methods: historical and typological methods, method of theoretical analysis and systematization, of the existential interpretation of discourse, sociocultural and narratological methods. Practical significance: the results have been used in literary research and in lecture courses.
