The scientific approaches to determining the nature of the concepts of "crisis", "crisis of enterprise", "adaptation of the enterprise", "economic mechanism of adaptation to crisis conditions" were analyzed in the dissertation. Methodological approaches to analyze the internal environment of companies in crisis by building a "field management", which enables integrated assess the experience areas of business crisis, to determine their nature and the possible directions of propagation in the enterprise to their localization were added. The theoretical and methodological basics for establishment and application of the economic mechanism of adapting enterprises to crisis conditions that justify the need for implementation and provide scientific basis of adaptation (scientific approaches, methods, principles of adaptation, function approximation, scales of adaptation) were worked out it was.
