Essay

Object: diabetic retinopathy. Purpose: optimization of laser treatment for diabetic retinopathy by identifying prognosis of nonproliferative stage of diabetic retinopathy progression based on the study blood-retinal barrier using vitreal fluorometry and determination of the criteria for early panretinal laser photocoagulation. Methods: ophthalmic, color photography, fluorescein angiography, vitreal fluorometry, the methods of statistical analysis; slit lamp and fundus lenses, funduskamera, flyuorotron. Scientific data were supplemented by data on the structural and functional disorders blood-retinal barrier in patients with diabetic retinopathy, depending on the severity of the pathological process. Refined scientific data on risk factors for the progression of nonproliferative stage of diabetic retinopathy in preproliferative stage. Developed diagnostic criteria blood-retinal barrier dysfunction in these vitreal fluorometry. Revealed early signs of the transition stage of severe nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy in preproliferative stage according to the vitreal fluorometry. Improved method for determining the indications for panretinal laser coagulation depending on the state blood-retinal barrier according to the vitreal fluorometry. Results have been implemented at the Fialatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy", Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital, City Hospital № 4, Krivoy Rog, Transcarpathian regional Hospital city Uzhgorod.
