Object: processes of management by logistic flows of enterprises of metallurgical industry. Item: theoretical and practical bases of management by logistic activity of metallurgical enterprises. Research methods: statistical and expert methods; methods of cluster analysis and analysis of hierarchies; system dynamics. At first: diagnostic-imitation approach to management by deliveries of material resources of metallurgical enterprises is offered, it is based on combination of analytical procedures and facilities of system dynamics, that allowed to develop the imitation model which provides a basis for forming of optimum policy of delivery. Improved: procedure of multidimensional statistical grouping of metallurgical enterprises on key economic performance indicators taking into account level of logistic activity; method of estimation of efficiency of logistic activity on functional constituents; mechanism of management by logistic activity of metallurgical enterprises. Further development: terminology and content of management by logistic activity of enterprise.
