Essay

The dissertation is devoted to one of the most important problems of modern internal medicine - gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The important theoretical and practical issues of the diagnosis problem and treatment optimization of GERD were determined and summarized. Based upon the analysis of microbiological features of the esophagus and stomach and visceral changes, the role of these factors in the pathogenesis of the disease was suggested. The new approaches to complex pathogenetically substantiated therapy of GERD were developed.
