Essay

The subject of the research is the interaction process of a vertically positioned boot runner blade of a grain seeder with the soil. The work objective is to rise the life duration of vertically positioned soil cutting elements of boot runners of grain seeders with the realization of the self-sharpening effect by means of contact welding-on a wear resistant composite cerametallic strip on their blade. Research methods. The theoretical researches were held using the basic provisions of the theory of constructions and calculation of agricultural machinery, dragging and wear-out in an abrasive environment, synergetics, solid-state physics and equipment safety margin. The results of the experimental researches were processed with the help of statistic methods and application program packages on the computer. In this work there was further developed the mathematical analysis of the interaction process of soil cutting elements with the soil; it was the first time when there were theoretically defined and experimentally researched the processes of wear-out and shaping of the profile of the vertically positioned soil cutting elements blades in the process of their running; there was theoretically and experimentally proved the positive influence of the self-sharpening runner blade shaping on the energetic characteristics of the boot runner of a grain seeder. The held researches gave the possibility to develop the way of a product surface sheathing with the help of powder materials (certificate of authorship of the USSR № 179619) and a way of electrical contact welding in of wear resistant materials (Patent of Ukraine № 41259). Boot runners with reinforced runners were under production testing in several farming enterprises of Kirovohrad region.
