Essay

The dissertation contains the results of melogeographical and melotypological study melodies and rituals of the calendar (winter, spring, summer) and seasonal work (harvest time) in the Ubort' river basin (Central Polissya). The author has analyzed over 1300 samples of melodic and identified about 60 types of song. Author created 32 melo-geographical maps by the method of documenting and integration mapping. This area has a division into two local areas (opposition musical dialects). The areas have several small local musical traditions. Was analyzed the data of linguistics and the history of this area also. It was established that the two major dialects of music correspond to the areas of Slavic tribes Drevlians and Dregoviches (VI-XIII century AD for this area). Small dialects of music of this territory correspond to subdialects middle dialect Polissya.The results of the melogeographical researches can be used for studies in other sciences.
