Essay

The object is ideas of determination and indetermination in western-European worldview tradition. The aim is to explicate the maintenance of determinism idea and to expose the features of its evolutional transformations in a historical and philosophical retrospective view. The methods are historical, comparative and contextual approaches; thematic analysis and dialectical synthesis, hermeneutics, system-structural. In the present work the philosophical content of the idea of determinism in historical worldview context is concretely defined. The genesis and evolutionary ideas of determinism in antique and medieval periods are analyzed, as well as the main tendency of its philosophical reception in New times. The features of evolutionary metamorphosis of the idea of determinism in non-classical and post non-classical philosophy were revealed. During the investigation the scheme of evolutionary transformations of the idea of determinism in history of western-European philosophical tradition has been proved, which is perspective for the future philosophical investigation of determinism. Application sphere are the training courses.
