Essay

There were received original data on the state of ranges, numbers, biotopic distribution of Falconiformes in the steppe zone of Ukraine. Characteristics and causes of historical changes of the birds of prey population in transformed landscapes for a period of hundred years were revealed. It was made a prognosis of probable future changes and proposed new effective measures for their conservation and monitoring.
