Essay

The thesis describes the theoretical justification and practical solution of the urgent scientific problem - the development of the principles of the art-therapy and estimation of their efficiency for the patients who have the first psychotic episode. The complex analysis of the dynamics of clinical-and-psychopathological and pathopsychological features of this contingent in the process of treatment has been carried out on the basis of interdisciplinary approach from the position of evidential medicine. The data about the dynamics of clinical-and-psychopathological disorders and about the changes of cognitive functions among the patients who have the first psychotic episode under the art-therapy treatment has been obtained. The influence of the art-therapy on personality traits of the patients who have the first psychotic episode has been studied. The behavioral changes among the patients who have the first psychotic episode under the art-therapy treatment have been investigated. The dynamics of the social functioning level have been studied. The art-therapy principles of the treatment of the patients who have the first psychotic episode, which are based on international standards and which consider clinical and pathopsychological characteristics of the patients, have been suggested and justified. The dependence of the therapeutic effectiveness of art-therapeutic interventions on the duration, application conditions and stages of the therapeutic and rehabilitation process has been determined.
