The thesis is devoted to the study of theoretical, methodological and applied basics of competitive advantages formation of the national touristic and recreational complex. Conceptual apparatus of the field of study was clarified; the concept of country's tourist activity as well as its governmental regulation was expanded. It was also researched the process of competitive advantages formation of the national tourist and recreational complex; and was proved its ability to be influenced by the balance of competitive field forces.
