Object of research - the turbo-machines flowing part and the steam turbine diffuser; the purpose of research - the low-power backpressure steam turbines efficiency increasing with the help of their construction decisions improvement; research methods - mathematical modeling, methods of gas-dynamical and thermal calculations; the scientific novelty - the method of the steam turbines of different constructions diffusers energy loss factors defining based on the theory of a boundary layer have been developed, the stepped diffuser for the considered types of steam turbines most expedient using have been established, analytical dependences to determine reactivity factor distribution on blade height under back-twisted blade and tangent tilt of nozzle blades in the direction of rotor rotation have been formed, the criterion of turbines technical level estimation on the basis of qualifying quality criteria indicators have been developed; the results of research - the steam turbines diffusers loss factors defining method have been developed, new constructions of cone and stepped diffusers have been suggested, analytical dependences for calculations of the reactivity factor distribution on the blades height have been suggested, calculations on the flowing part complex modernization with the new diffuser construction using have been made, the method of the steam turbines technical level definition have been developed, the branch of research - turbine industry.
