Based on a wide range of sources it is shown that it is the active participation of Italian diplomatic and personal initiatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs heads and the government, helped to create the three pillars of the European community - European coal and steel Community, European Economic Community and Euratom. Most of the suggestions of Rome on the establishment of "common European home" were positively perceived by France, the Benelux countries, the USA and subsequently implemented. But at the same time, it should be noted that the Italian "politicum", especially the Socialists and the Communists, did not share the views of A. de Gasperi, C. Sforza, G. Martino about Italy's involvement in the implementation of projects federalization of Europe. The participation of Italy in the European and Euro-Atlantic integration in the postwar period has led the country out of the political isolation. In future, this contributed to rapid economic growth and transformation of Rome into an active player in the international arena.
