In the dissertation the scientific points of view of base concept ,,investments" and derivatives are generalized from it such economic categories as ,,investment activity", ,,investing" and ,,investment process". An investment role is grounded in a transformation economy as a factor of the economy growing and structural transformations. Bases of investment activity and role of government control are exposed in its realization, and also feature of becoming of public investment policy in a transformation economy.
